GAP STARTS DUMPER OPERATOR SAFETY INITIATIVE
GAP Group Ltd, The UK’s Largest Independent Plant and Tool Hirer are following a new safety initiative put forward by one of their valued clients Morgan Sindall Group.
GAP have committed to increasing the safety of plant operators using our fleet of dumpers from 1 ton to 10 ton by improving the entry and egress point visibility.
All steps, foot plates and handles will be repainted in high visibility yellow paint that will ensure a higher standard of safety for operators.
Operations Director Kevin McEwan has stated that “all machines will be painted as they go through our normal workshop inspection and the whole fleet should be completed by the end of March 2011, we are grateful to Morgan Sindall in house plant company Magnor Plant for passing on this simple yet cost effective improvement in operator safety, a great example of best practice being spread throughout the industry.”
